Faith

There have been so many times when I have been angry at something happening in my life.
And I was even angrier at God, who I thought had abandoned me.
Have faith, I was told.
Faith?
Why have faith?
Where was God in all my distress?
Yesterday I was reading about Commitment in a relationship.
It said Faith was remembering your Commitment.
And then it hit me.
It was never God who had abandoned me.
It was me who had abandoned God.
It was always me who had gotten angry and walked away.
And then I saw a picture.
It was God, still standing there, where I had left Him,
patiently waiting for me.
With a smile on his face, and Love in His heart,
still waiting for me.
